parent anxiety

Parents may understandably feel stressed when their adolescents are having problems. Common symptoms of anxiety include worrying, being tense, difficulty relaxing, being on edge, feeling nervous or apprehensive, increased self-consciousness, sleep problems, irritability, problems concentrating (for example, due to worrying),  feelings of panic, and physical symptoms such as heart racing, shortness of breath, upset stomach, nausea, chills or feeling flushed, or sweating. These symptoms can affect your work, your relationships, and your ability to effectively help your teen. If you are experiencing these symptoms, and would like to seek help (from a counselor or doctor), please contact your Care Support Manager.
